Deadline for scholarship application has passed

The deadline for the scholarship application is April 15, 2011.

To be eligible for a scholarship you must be a full time student at a degree granting university. Travel awards will be approximately 600 dollars, which can be used to defray travel, food, and accommodation costs. Selection for financial aid will be done by the organizers and will be based on academic merit and need. The candidates will be prioritized as follows:

• Women, underrepresented minorities, and advanced undergraduate students with background in Machine Learning.
• Graduate students in the first two years of their graduate program.
• Advanced graduate students (third year and beyond).
• Other students and junior researchers.

Thanks to generous sponsorship from PASCAL2 we also have some special scholarships available exclusively for students from Europe.

• Your Curriculum Vitae
• One page research statement indicating your research interests and the benefit of attending MLSS
• A letter of recommendation from your advisor. You should also ask your advisor to mail a recommendation letter in pdf format to PurdueMLSS@gmail.com. Please note that we will not solicit letters.
